1951 Crown-Headlight Advertising Envelope with contents

Here's an advertising envelope from Crown-Headlight with all its contents dated April 3, 1951. Not quite sure what the exact date was that the two companies merged, but I did find reference to the companies being listed together as early as 1935. Crown-Headlight was acquired by Carhartt in 1960.

1930-31 Headlight Overalls Railroad Time Book

Headlight Overalls Railroad Time Book issued by Headlight Overall Manufacturing Co./Larned, Carter & Co., Cincinnati, Ohio. I posted the book as being from 1930-31, but the calendar inside the book is for 1933-34. The original owner, Edwin Wickman, didn't use the book until 1936. If you look closely at the calendar, you'll notice it was glued over another calendar. I don't know if this modification was done by the publisher or Mr. Wickman. I went into Photoshop and was able to pull up the original calendar which was 1930-31. You can see this image below.

1918-1919 Headlight Overalls Railroad Time Book

1918-1919 Headlight Overalls Railroad Time Book. Headlight was produced by the Larned, Carter and Company in Detroit, Michigan. The original owner of this book used it in 1920-1921. I love the antidote for opium.

1906 Headlight Overalls Receipt Postcard

Receipt postcard issued by Larned, Carter & Company, makers of Headlight Overalls. The card is dated May 18, 1906 and postmarked the same day out of Detroit, Michigan. It is addressed to Branch & Alexander in Roper, North Carolina. A quick search online didn't produce anything, but I suspect this was a local clothing store.

1905 Headlight Overalls Letter with Great Content and Logo

October 18, 1905 letter from the Larned, Carter & Co., makers of Headlight Overalls, to Mr. A.F. Stauffer of Mt. Vernon, Ohio. Stauffer was on of Mt. Vernon's earliest and well-known businessmen. The content of the letter is pretty amazing as it shows how well Larned, Carter & Company were doing at the time. So well that they couldn't fill orders fast enough. Along with the great content, the letter also shows a great variation of the company's logo.

1896 Rosevear Brothers & Company Envelope

Established in 1887 by Rosevear brothers, John H. and E. William, along with their father William Rosevear in Morristown, New Jersey. The company dissolved in January/February of 1907. When the company dissolved there was mention that Mary Rosever (wife of William) and Elijah M. Rosevear retired. I'm not quite sure where Elijah fits in the family tree. He might be E. Williams son. Elijah is later listed as a member of Larned Carter & Company, the makers of Headlight Overalls.
