Great invoice from Carter & Churchill Company dated September 26. 1896. Carter & Churchill were the manufacturers of Lebanon Overalls as well as other work and sporting clothes. This invoice is for goods sold to the Doe Brothers in Bradford, Vermont. The Doe Brothers were watch and jewelry merchants who also sold ready made clothing. I like how The Old Man on the Mountain was incorporated into the invoice. This geographical feature was first seen by surveyors in 1805 and unfortunately collapsed in 2003. It became part of the New Hampshire state emblem in 1945.
